The very first driver in my new series is the... Flying Dutchmen himself! Max Verstappen as you could have already guessed from the very large title above. And yeah I probably picked him first because he is my favorite driver and on my favorite team. So, sue me I'm not really biased at all when it comes to Red Bull and Max!

But, that doesn't take away that Max is a very talented driver to come up through the ranks for the newer generation. I believe like many others he is a future "CHAMPION OF THE WORLD!!!" as Crofty puts it when Lewis wins ever single year. Will this be his year, probably not. But, I know it will happen and I will be cheering him and the team on the whole way to the championship trophy!

I think over the year Max has truly grown as a driver. From the days of "Mad Max" and everyone tried to avoid him on the track to now the number one driver and leader of the team. I didn't watch his early years, but the last few that I have, I can really tell how experience and age has really helped him become a better all around driver. He is though a very aggressive driver and maybe that is a portion of why fans give him so much love/hate. This year though he really is showing how much he can pull out of a car. Especially, when his team mate can barely get it under control or keep at his pace.

However, the real question now is will Red Bull be able to hold on to him or give him a championship winning car? Now, that Honda will be pulling out at the end of 2021. With the new regs coming in 2022 there will be a lot to consider. Will Red Bull start there own engine development program? Will they go back to Renault (highly unlikely)? Or will they be able to get a more powerful engine supplier from the grid or outside the grid? The future is unknown and always throws curveballs!

In the end though weather Max stays at Red Bull or gets picked up by another team. He will always be my number one driver and one I know will be the next champion of the world.
