Lewis Hamilton

Alright, everybody has there own take on Lewis. Me he is an amazing driver there is no doubting that at all. However, would I want to see him beaten to the driver championship, HELL YEAH! Just like any other time of complete dominance of a driver/team. They tend to get a lot of hate towards them. Lewis is no different in this regards. Those is rating is high from performance aspects, but overall is he the driver everyone wants to see win the championship?

Valtteri Bottas

Bottas 2. whatever number he is on now. The fin has had several seasons of success, but not enough to really contend for the title. To me I think he lacks the type of vigor to really attack and chop away at Lewis mindset. He needs to be able to constantly put in the performances and also get under his teammates skin a little. Those he will have a semi good rating, but needs to really step up his game in order to win the championship.

So I may be a bit biast on this driver as Red Bull is my team! I will try to keep it to the facts and not my own fanboy ideals. Max is probably one of the top three/four drivers up and coming in F1 today. I believe like everyone else he has the true potential to be a multiple world champion. But, Red Bull have yet to provide the car for him to really challenge the almighty Mercedes. His skill and craft have come a long way since he first came into F1. And this year alone he has shown the true majority of a real lead driver.

Might get a little flak for my rating of Alex. But, to be honest this year he hasn't been able to the car at the same pace as Max has. Now, he obviously gets an incredible boost. Just for his overtaking ability and bravery when he absolutely needs to put that car into a higher position. However, he really needs to improve on his overall pace. This doesn't mean he isn't a great driver. He has the potential and the amazing personality on/off the track.

Sebastian Vettel

Sebastian-Vettel-in-Melbourne-ahead-of-t

Seb is an amazing driver and multiple world champion. Now, his form has been a bit off this season and past seasons. But, hopefully the possible move to Aston Martin will the return of the Old Seb. This year has been very tough with the drop from Ferrari and the car being a total donkey on the track now. Maybe, them dropping him now was Seb actually being like "Yup, i'm out!". His overall career helps his score.

Charles Leclerc

Leclerc is difinitely a driver to keep an eye on in the future! That was a given during his Alfa Romeo rookie year and last year in his first year with Ferrari. To me his is one of my top 3 favorite drivers on the grid this season. Having being able to put that Ferrari on the podium twice! And lets face it this year it shouldn't even be that close. He has made some mistakes over his tenure in F1, but he definitely continues to grow and mature every race.

CArlos Sainz JR

Mr. Chilli himself! He has had a very awesome couple of seasons. His departure from Renault to McLaren may have looked risky at first and his only real option to stay in the sport. He has helped turnaround a team Alonso couldn't. Mclaren and Sainz have truly done a great job and look to clench the mid-field constructors championship again! He has had his ups and downs during his term with the team, but the ups have been way up there!

Lando "Meme king" Norris

Lando-Norris-Interview-1.jpg

Lets face it Lando is probably in the top 3 of everyone's favorite current crop of drivers. He certainly has shown his eccentric style on and off track. As well as really bringing about the surge of online visibility that wasn't really there from drivers in the past. He has stepped up his game a lot this season and that is why he is rated the same as Carlos.

Sergio Perez

Is gonna be kinda sad if Checo doesn't find a seat for next season... but that is how F1 works and it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. He has had a good career, Mclaren was the tougher part. But, the move to ForceIndia has been a good one and he has put in those good performances through out. However, he has had his moments on track that have been a little sketchy. His head to head battles with Ocon and the most recent with Gasly at Spa. So, he gets a slightly lower ranking because of his driving style.

Lance STroll

A lot of people give Lance some flak for being the son of the team owner. However, he has put in some solid performances and has two podiums to his name. He also is a GP2 champion as well. I think he has good potential for the future and maybe he will learn a thing or two from old Sebby.

Daniel "honeybadger" Riccardo

I rate Danny Ric pretty highly, he hasn't had the best tenure at Renault than everyone would have expected. But that doesn't change his ability on the track and his personality off the track. Still one of the best over-takers in F1 and maybe in history "King of the Late Brakers". I hope the move to Mclaren next season puts him back at the top and fighting for wins! I want to see another shoey!

Esteban Ocon

He had a great 2018 season, but having that season adrift in the paddock. I feel has set him back and he has not shown the same pace he had back at ForceIndia. Not really being able to match Riccardo on a regular bases. He goes up against Alonso next season, so that is gonna be spicy! His feud with Perez was interesting, now to see how that would play out with Alonso on the team. He gets a pretty low score just for hype he had and the results that have been shown.

Pierre Gasly

At first I had my reservations about Gasly. I thought for sure after that dismal start to last season and then being dropped back down to Toro Rosso. That he was going to spiral and be left without a seat in F1. Yet, he proved me and I am sure everyone else very wrong on that assumption. He had a great come back in the second part of last season. Scoring a second place podium in Brazil and then starting this year off with  very constant pace over Kyvat. Then topping it all off with a 1st place finish at Monza in 2020!

He gets a bad rep for his torpedo days back when he had a seat at Red Bull. Now, I wasn't around for when he was driving back then and I have only seen clips of him in those days. He seems like a capable driver and is able to score podiums. However, he hasn't been able to really shine against Gasly this year and same goes for the first part of last season against Albon. Who got the promotion to Red Bull over him. Hopefully, the pace comes back and he can pick up another podium. Or he could just torpedo Lewis, so Max gets a win! (Did I just type that...)

kimi "THe Iceman" raikkonen

To be honest what is there really to say about Kimi... His the oldest man on the grid and a former world champ himself. He may not be as good as he was back in the day, but the iceman still has some frostbite left in him. He is far out performing his team out in the second half of this season. And what's not to love about his attitude towards everything. If you haven't seen Kimi off the track or during interviews. I beg you to go and find some videos!

So, if it wasn't for him crashing or spinning all the time. I would probably forget he was on the field with the rest of the drivers. He has't really shown why he deserves to be in that seat this year. Getting out performed by Kimi who is almost 20 years your senior doesn't boast well for you. If he doesn't step it up in the second half, he is gonna lose his seat. And maybe next years driver lineup will have a Schumacher on the grid again?!
