All Ghillied Up!

Probably one of the more fun aspects of airsoft is being the sniper. Now, just like being a real sniper it does take a bit of patience. Especially, when your playing in the bigger fields. However it can be a lot of fun too. Sneaking up on the enemy players, and taking them out one by one.

The key to having fun as a sniper is definitely brought on by having a ghillie suit. You don’t have to have one to play a sniper/support roll for your team. To be a sniper you just need a good rifle and be a good shot. But, sneaking around with a spotter or another sniper is way more fun. Because, while your team is engaging in combat with the enemy units. You can be making your way around them and setting up a flanking maneuver. Or set up a hide and start taking them down from a distant. Maybe, your playing domination or capture the flag. So, you hunker down by the base and wait for them to show.

Whatever it is, being the sniper is definitely one of the more expert levels to play at. You can challenge yourself, with different objectives. Talk to your team and let them know what your gonna be doing and your plan of attack. So, they know what to expect. Heck, you could even solo or solo team it against a group of people. Especially with a ghillie suit on, your practically invisible.

Beside, from the right ghillie suit. A good rifle is key as well. You want something that is gonna have good FPS, but also easy to carry and maneuver around. FPS is key, as unlike traditional sniper rifles. BBs tend to have a mind of there own when they get fired. Something around the range of 400+ FPS is pretty sufficient. Also, another key factor that newer players don't know about is heavy gram BB's. Lets say .36 gram, you can always go a little heavier to improve consistency. However, you will lose distance the heavier you go.

So, if your looking for some extra fun the next time you go out to the field to play. Think about buying a ghillie suit, or you can make your own. This takes more time than you think so I recommend watching some tutorials on it first. I put some down below that I have watched and find to have some pretty good knowledge as well.
