When it comes down to it, we all have asked ourselves… is it really worth buying a cheap airsoft weapon? So, where gonna help answer that foreboding question. Even though we all know we avoid them like the plague.
Let's first take a closer look at why we avoid them. Is it because of the FPS factors, the look of the weapon, or the sheer amount of reticule we will get from our fellow operators. Heck, I am pretty sure it's the latter.
FPS is the key to a lot of weapon choices, something plenty of us liter over when making a decision on what to buy next. If it is anything less than 250 fps and it is less likely will bring it into combat. Just because the BB will go 2 feet and fall straight to the ground. Faster than you can blink. Than you get lit up faster than you can say "oh s***!!".
So, I guess let's get to the weapons available for the next mission.
UKArms L96
Now, this is an okay sniper, especially to start out with. And if you really want a sniper rifle, and not pay the cost! It is very light, because it is made of plastic. There is very little weight to the actual rifle itself. So, being able to move through the

field with ease is possible. The look of the actual rifle, does look like the real thing. Which, is why we all love airsoft. As a beginner rifle it will work, it is usual around $36 dollars on amazon. Downsides to the rifle itself because it is cheaper in production value. The rail system can barely support actual gear, and trust me you will probably won't to get rid of the scope it comes with.
2. FN Scar-L (Spring - Powered)
This definitely one that you should choose as a last resort type of weapon. Mainly because it is spring powered and means you are the mechanical function of this weapon. Which makes the fire rate as fast as your little arm or big arm can pull back the bolt/plastic bit they call a bolt. But, for the price which I believe is around $30 bucks you can't beat it. Accuracy is good for the FPS and single action spring. I have seen some pretty good grouping up to around 30 feet. The overall look and feel of the weapon is pretty close to an actual Scar. The weight is lighter though.

(If you wanna spend a little more you can get an electric AEG Scar for around $70. That is a lot better and less manual labor involved! I'm lazy and would rather have the battery one.)
3. UKARMS P48 (Basically AK-47, Also Spring Powered)
Just like the Scar above it is spring powered and will cause you to have a rather sore arm and not in the way you are thinking. Get your mind out of the gutter already. The over all feel of the weapon is

good, it has weight to it and looks like an actual AK-47 without the wood stock. Accuracy, is about the same as the Scar. It loses a bit around the 30 foot mark. But, is still there about for the price. Which is about $40 dollars I believe the last time I checked.
4. Double Eagle M85P AEG Electric
It is essentially a mockup of a G36 short barrel. Which is a great design for close quarters and medium range engagements. The weapon it self has a folding stock, great for maneuverability and for storage as well. Rate of fire is changeable and moves from single shot to full auto. And if your finger moves fast enough burst fire can be engaged (not an actual function of the gun). It has a good rail system for different mounts, and comes with attachments. The normal laser pointer, scope, flashlight, and foregrip. It does also come in this awesome orange color mix. I have seen it on a few videos, bit have yet to find out where to purchase that version of it.

5. Co2 Powered Pistol
This can really be any type of pistol. I use a 1911 Black Ops pistol that has a very heavy weight to giving it great stability. The recommendation for a pistol that is gas powered is well received and something worth the extra cost for one. They are compact and with the proper gear can be warn on the hip or your vest. Do not buy ones that are spring powered as they are single shot weapons. If your playing "One in the Chamber", than by all means buy one.

Overall, buying cheap isn't at as bad as most think. It just really depends on what you buy and your experience level. The more you play the more you will understand why paying more for a good weapon is key to executing a successful operation.
