91 Wins and a Deck Chair?!

The race weekend began, ended and in the middle was way different than I expected. The weather being cold was always going to be a outlyer for this weekend. But, who knew that it would lay out a cold, wet, and foggy enough day. That they had to cancel both FP1 and FP2 on Friday. Which as any F1 fan that has been around a couple of years wants so badly for Friday practice to go bye, bye! This however gave teams limited time on Saturday to run scenarios and test on the track. Which means when qualifying time came around. It was gonna be a race and skill to see who could bag pole!
Now, the race itself was pretty stale. It had it's moments and was a good race in a general since of the word. However, there was very little action at the front, and some Truly Trains(Google what it means) in the middle of the field. Bottas did manage to grab pole from Hamilton who sat P2 with Verstappen getting his usual P3 spot this year. But, being considerably closer on one lap pace.
The start of the race was the usual action packed portion of the race. Hamilton got a better start than Bottas going down into turn 1. Bottas covered him off but both

ran wide and for a split second I thought we where gonna have another Hamilton vs Rosberg moment on track. As they almost took each other out! But, cruel as fate is that did not happen. A few laps later Bottas makes a mistake, locks up and ruins his tires and race. Giving Hamilton the lead and ultimately the victory. Max was trying to give us a fight at the front and was close at times. But, Red Bull still does not have the race pace to keep up with Mercedes. After Bottas pitted for new tyres, several laps later you see the Mercedes getting past by everyone. And on the radio came I losing POWER! And then Bottas was out of the race. The man has more bad luck on race day than I have ever seen!
Lando and the deckchair! If you haven't watched F1 for long. Go and google Fernando Alonso deck chair and enjoy. Afterwards this moment will mean so much more to you personally and make you laugh a lot harder! Lando around lap 30ish started to complain about loss of power or as Lando puts it "I HAVE NO POWER, I HAVE NO POWER!". He was looking to score some good points this race to. But, the fates where cruel to the meme lord again today, and he ultimately had to retire from the race. He parked his car nicely and out of the way. Got out of the car and walked over to the Deckchair. Plopped down and took a nice rest while he waited for a ride back to the paddock. Giving us another clasic moment in F1 history!

The return of the HoneyBadger! Danny Ric finally got that maiden podium for Renault. Coming home P3 after lucking out some would say with the safety car deployment. However, I am disappointed that we did not get a signature shoey from the Aussie. He did later do it on his instagram, but it wasn't the same... But the consolation prize of knowing his team principal has to get tattoo of his choosing! Oh! Do I hope it has to do with a honeybadger reference some how.

I guess the last thing to summarize is the fact that Hamilton captured his 91st win and match Michael Schumacher record for wins. For me I may want someone else to win..."Co

ugh, Cough! Verstappen!". But, that doesn't take away from the fact that Lewis is an amazing driver and regardless of the car he is in. Deserves some respect for his achievement and to be a part of F1 legend! And I think Mick Schumacher showed us all how much someone should respect someone for there talent. The moment between Lewis and Mick (Michael's son) was very touching. The fact that the family gave him one of Michaels helmets was a strong token of respect.
