I am not a LH fan by any means or stretch of the imagination. But, you truly have to step back and gasp at the achievements he has made and continues to make in F1. If you step back an look at what he does day in and day out on the track. You can truly respect the man for the benchmark he is setting. Take it like this if you have every played the F1 game and you go lets say the 25% race distance. That's usually about 20 laps around each of the circuits. You start the race well and do great the first couple of laps. But, then you have a lap where you don't do so hot and then you do good for a couple more laps. Then have a couple of bad laps. It's a continues cycle... Now, imagine doing that in an actual car going 200 +. Making decisions on the fly in a fraction of a second. That's what this guys do every time there in the cockpit of that car. Adrenaline pumping and brain synopsis firing at a mile a minute. Take another step further back and look at Lewis from a non-bias perspective. He has done all of that year in and year out in a great car and a crappy car. And still managed to pull in the wins and at the end the championships!

I mean take a look at the race he won his 7th title at. That was a true champions drive, when everyone else was spinning and not waiting for the perfect time to overtake (we all know who I mean, even though it pains me to write it.). He waited and put himself in position to get on the podium. An when the opportunity came he swooped in and took it!
He has been able to grow every race and learn from every mistake. Now, he isn't perfect and still makes some questionable mistakes to this day. However, he is without a doubt the most consistent driver on the grid. And in the end that's what really wins you the title. You can be as aggressive as Max, but winning one or two races a year isn't going to cut it. As we can see with Bottas. Me though I think he is just one really unlucky guy! Get him a rabbits foot or something.
Lewis is also a very outspoken off the track as well. With all his campaigns for diversity and inclusion in motorsport. As well as being someone who always tries to support fans and younger drivers. Overall Lewis is a great champion and will go down as an all time great. DO I like him winning all the time know, will I ever be a LH fanboy...probably not. But, I give credit where credit is due. And in my eyes he deserves at least that from everyone.
